The Wilmette Police Department uses Flock Safety technology to capture objective evidence while maintaining a strong commitment to protecting individual privacy.
Our use of this technology includes:
-Retroactive search to assist in solving crimes after they occur.
-Real-time alerts to identify hotlist vehicles, including those connected to wanted criminals, stolen vehicles, and vehicles listed in AMBER or SILVER Alerts.
-To ensure transparency and accountability, the Wilmette Police Department has established policies and guardrails governing the use of this technology. In addition, usage statistics and related policies are made available to the public.

Access Policy
All system access requires a valid reason and is stored indefinitely.

Hotlist hits are required to be human verified prior to action.
